SOLD SOLD SOLD 1952 RR Silver Wraith Touring Limousine. Not the seven seater. Bought 35 years ago by the current owner. Early ownership accredited to Lady Silvia Sims, though there is no documentation to that effect except the indirect lighting installed in the rear as well as a parasol slip case, both reputed to have been requested by Lady Sims. Has climate control. Repainted once about 12 years ago. Paint is very nice, but not perfect. Some cowl crackling beginning to appear. Chrome is overall very nice, with some imperfections. The car was regularly driven over the last 34 years, but has been sitting for about the last 18 months. It was run periodically and the lubrication is up-kept. The interior hides have been replaced. The front about 15 years ago and the rear about 7 years ago. Armrests have also been redone. Door panels are nice original. The wood was very nice when purchased, but began to lose finish in the corners by the windows, so all the wood trim has been removed and refinished. All wood trim is beautifully refinished. Rear seat bar includes the crystal decanter set. Headliner is okay. Carpet is okay – not perfect. Engine has been continuously serviced and has never been a problem. Transmission was fine when purchased, but about 15 years ago it began to make some noise and was not shifting smoothly so he bought a new trans. in the crate for $7000 that was installed in 1995 – approx. 50,000 miles ago. Gauges are all bright and in working order. All glass is good, tires also good. Approximately $80,000 in restoration expenses.
